I will share my experience as a fresher and how I placed or got a job in my final year of MCA. Let’s start.
I applied for Infosys entry-level post system engineer in my final semester and got shortlisted for the first round which was an online test.
I gave that online test. It has many sections like- Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Subjective Knowledge, and Sudo code.
Luckily, I got shortlisted for the Second Round which was the Technical and HR Interview. I gave that interview and it went very well. I was very happy and was hoping for a positive result.
But only 4 days after my interview, I got an email from Infosys with the subject:
Infosys-Urgent!- Technical Snapshot.
The message in the email was:
” Hi Sachin,
Good afternoon. Request you to kindly join the same link as that of the interview tomorrow at 1 pm for a technical snapshot. Won’t take more than 2-3 minutes. “
Okay!….. let me be honest…….. I had no idea what this thing called “Technical snapshot” was all about. So, I tried to get information about it through various sources. I searched the internet, asked my professors, Infoscions, and even posted a question about it on Quora and Reddit, but……. found nothing. No matter how hard I tried but I couldn’t find any information about it. Then, I got super nervous. I had so many questions in my mind. What were they going to do in 2-3 minutes? Is this another interview or something else?
The next day, it was time to face it. I prepared myself and joined the link. After the greeting, the interviewer without wasting any time told me that, the day I had my Technical and HR interview, the interviewer forgot to take a snapshot of me along with my ID. It won’t take more than a few minutes, all she has to do is take a screenshot of me with my ID, that’s it. Finally……… I breathed a sigh of relief and found out what this “Technical snapshot” was.
Not everyone gets this email. You will get this only if your interviewer forgets to take your snapshot with your ID or if you need to redo it for some technical reason. So friends, if you have also got this technical snapshot email, then do not panic. It will only take a few minutes and you just need to look at your webcam and smile brightly with your ID.
Now I hope if you are also facing the same problem, then you must have got the answer. If I had known about it earlier, I would not have been so nervous and worried. That’s why I decided to write about it so that no one else has to worry so much about it.
